Honoring Dr. Steven A. Beebe: 28 Years as Chair of the Department of Communication Studies


On Thursday, March 27th from 5:30-6:45, we will gather at the new Texas State Performing Arts Center to honor Dr. Steven A  Beebe’s Principles of Leadership During 28 years as Chair of the Department of Communication Studies. Dr Beebe  has served as a teacher, mentor, scholar, administrator, and friend to countless students and faculty members during his service as Chair of the Department of Communication Studies.  BeebeNCA_wp-pic

This tribute panel  includes presentations from some  of Dr. Beebe’s former students and colleagues. Co-chairs for this event are former MA student Seth Frei, and current  MA student Colter Ray. Together with Dean Mottet, Seth and Colter have planned a program that highlights the five principles of communication and leadership demonstrated throughout Dr. Beebe’s service as chair.  Our Mistress of Ceremonies for this panel will be Dr. Diana Ivy, Dr.  Beebe’s co-author and friend.  Other speakers include Kosta Tovstiadi, Nick Driver, Kyle Morris, Megan Pope, and Christian Wallace. Beebe 101 proves to be a memorable and entertaining evening for all in attendance, and we hope you will join us!.
